About

I had mint lemonade for the first time when I went to visit the land of my ancestors. Since then, I refuse to have any other type of lemonade. Nothing can even come close to the freshness and taste.

I am many things, but I guess if I had to pick a few things to describe myself, I’d say I am a Muslim, a Palestinian, a Chicagoan, a social justice organizer, and a student of life.

I’m generally pretty critical of myself, my community, and the world we live in. But I not only criticize, I wish to help improve. This blog obviously isn’t really me changing the world or anything like that. It’s just me writing down some of my thoughts, ideas, and experiences on social issues. It is my hope that they can somehow benefit or inspire others in some way. At the very least, I hope they can spark some useful discussion.

Other than that, you might see some interesting random posts on food or art or something.
